Chandipura Virus Awareness Program

UrjaMuNi Foundation: Chandipura Virus Awareness Campaign

At UrjaMuNi Foundation, we are dedicated to safeguarding public health by tackling pressing issues within our communities. Our recent initiative focused on raising awareness about the Chandipura virus. We worked closely with Asha workers and local Primary Health Centers (PHCs) to provide vital information. Our goal was to educate the community on recognizing symptoms and seeking prompt medical care to combat this serious health threat.

Understanding the Chandipura Virus

The Chandipura virus poses a severe threat, primarily affecting children. Symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, vomiting, and loss of consciousness. Due to the virus’s potential severity, early detection and swift medical intervention are critical.

Our Awareness Initiative

Educational Workshops: We organized workshops with Asha workers to provide detailed information about the Chandipura virus. These sessions educated participants on symptom recognition and the importance of timely medical attention.
Collaboration with PHCs: Partnering with local Primary Health Centers, we ensured accurate information dissemination through trusted healthcare channels. This collaboration also strengthened local health services’ capacity to manage potential outbreaks.
Community Outreach: We engaged local communities through flyers, posters, and interactive sessions. Our campaign highlighted the importance of vigilance and prompt medical care.
Strengthening Local Health Services: Our initiative aimed to enhance local health services. We provided training sessions and resources to support healthcare providers in effectively responding to Chandipura virus cases.
